Wednesday: W Club Renewal 2016...

So its that time of year! The W Club is once again open for registration. I have to think about the convention since its in Chicago this year. I'm just not sure about it, but at the same time you cant really dilly daily with it since it sells out so quickly.

A new year: Upgrade WClub Dolls...

The year has started up again for the W Club, so I figured that I would add in information as I got it and was able to this year to just help give me something to talk about. I did end up joining this year. There is Agnes, Poppy and a Boy for the upgrade dolls. I really love the poppys dress but thats all I like, so I had made my rule...if i only like the clothing...ill find it later. The boy is one of the molds I just dont really like and his fashion isnt my taste, so I passed on him. The only one I ended up ordering was the Agnes. I always have a soft spot for Agnes bitchy look. I think I like so much of the black and whiteness with a touch and pop of red. Plus her purse great. Its a clutch with a built in handle. Im like finally a non useless clutch! Agnes just is perfect. I cant wait for her to get here.

2013 Reflection: Top 5...

I was going to do a top ten for 2013 of my favorite Fashion Royalty residents, but the more I looked at this year I didnt splurge as much, or Ive let a few of the them go I wasnt really bonding with character wise. So I decided to do a top 5 instead. No real order but these are the ones that I have come to really treasure this year.

Irrisitable in India - Poppy Parker

I have sort of a funny rule about my poppys and its having one girl of ever hair color XD. I didnt have one with brown hair, let alone a tan girl. I really love this girl so much. Her jewerlry fun and looks well with her tan skintone. I love her hair color and the updo. I was looking at maybe restyling her hair but for now Im just leaving it alone.

Nu. Face - Beast Pizzaz

I really liked this girls outfit to begin with, but I had decided on just ordering her for that alone. I couldnt really see her face up close very well from their promo pictures, but once I started seeing others pictures of her, I really regretted not getting her. She ended up coming to me in a trade. Im really glad I was able to bring her home. Pizzaz also has a similar facemold to old 1.0 Vanessa that I love as well.

Monogram - Shining Star

I was disappointed to hear that they were discontinuing the line for Monograms. This girl (The gift one was the same, just blond hair & I got her fashion to go with her) was just beautiful. Her makeup was well done and she was the jewelry workshop version so she came with the gems to make the jewelry.  I decided too I just needed a few more brunettes in my collection. A perfect girl to the end of the Monogram Line.

FR2 - Bittersweet Eugenia

This girl has the new revised FR2 body (which really I found they just changed the knees and I believe one other thing but the waist is still terrible, so I think shes going to get rebodied) and I did buy her without seeing her. I dont regret it. Her green dress with her red hair along with her makeup work well together overall. I love her jewelry/shoes as well. I dont know what it is but Eugenia here just feels like a young version to all her other versions. Maybe its just her screening, or the fact her hair is down unlike a lot her other versions having short/updo hair.

Color Infusion Lab 2013

With this line I cant really pick. I love the mix and matching of the clothing & shoes/accessories. Last year I got the CI C girl and the N boy and I loved the both of them so much. This year I grabbed Declan for myself, redhead Camira (C/D mold) for heather, and a redhead Zara for Tabby. After seeing more of them I brought home a Laka (the purple version) & Alyssa (the F/G mold from last year). The only thing with this was I wished they had purses in this years collection, but none of the premier dolls did (if its like walkway kinda thing I understand. Still I miss these)

So these are my top picks for this years collection. I look forward to 2014!

Arrival: The Young Sophisticate Poppy...

So I had preordered this Poppy because first off her clothing didnt scream 50/60's to me. Especially when someone compared her dress to a dress currently at target. The only thing I dont care for is the little dog that comes with her. Im just not a dog person in the first place. I really like her hair color and the curls, but she is going to have her hair restyled because I just dont like this style. I might tweek her some especially her lip color and maybe come liner under her eyes.

New Arrivals: Kyori/Poppy/Azone...

Heres just a few things I didnt get a chance to get pictures of until now. I have a couple of the Wclub exclusives ordered, but they wont be in I think for a while/later in the year.

Irresistable in India Poppy Parker - This girl has the Bergdorf screening which is one of the Poppy's that I had come to love so much, but shes super out of my price range/what Im willing to pay really. So once I heard this I went ahead and got her. I really do love her screening & her hair style. Im not sure about the gold dress, I feel like she needs a better material then that satin. Its just too much screaming Barbie I guess to me. I do love her little gold shoes.

Love the One Kyori upgrade doll - This one really reminds me of the poesie Agnes/Vanessa brides. I think I am going to give her liner on her bottom lash area because I saw someone mock it up with the promo pictures and I really liked the look of it. Possibly might change her lip color to a more pale hue. Im also not sure if I'm going to swap her body as well.

Lethe - London Calling Dani - All together this girls clothing just doesnt feel like it works at all together, but once we took it off her, it looked better as in parts/mix & matched with other clothing. I ended up switching her body with my Tropiclean Erin (who has now become Neva) because I wanted her to have a shorter body to go with her friend Lyric. Im probably going to end up repainting Dani because this green is just overkill for who it needs to be, but her hair is perfect.

I bought the two Black Raven 50cm clothing cat maid outfit things. I havent gotten the white one just yet, but its on its way. The only thing is that the undershirt is so tight on the arms I had to remove the DDS's lower arms to wiggle it on. The stockings also will not go on the DD because of her feet being too big. I am thinking about getting an Obitsu 50cm body because I have been wanting one of these for months now and the DD heads dont look bad on it, and I can switch up my bodys a little :3

Update: Integrity WClub Webinar #2

So last weekend there was the second WClub webinar for the new collections. There was 3 of them released this time. I'm not going to really go into anything about the Jem dolls. I honestly cannot ever remember watching this show or not, and while their interesting, I wasnt looking forward to seeing yet another Jem like released in this webinar. I have a Color Infusion that uses the same body, so I might end up hunting down some Jem shoes, but other than that, Im just going to look this over.

I was hoping for this collection to be a little different then what I kept seeing with the Poppy Parkers. Im not into the 50-60 era look. I did preorder the "The Young Sophisticate" Poppy because the more I looked at her coat and dress I wasnt seeing this and someone pointed out the dress looked like a target dress so Im going to bring her home.

While I will agree...these dolls do like "Barbie's of the World"...there are a couple things I really like. For one the only doll I preordered was India. First she had the Bergdorf Goodman screening that I have come to love so much, and I dont have a nice tan Poppy. Im not sure about the dress. Its really lovely, but I might not keep it. Spain was just a kinda miss...I like her cat eye shape, but the rest was just lost to me. Switzerland was cute, but I already have a redhead poppy from the workshop so I passed. I dont really like the screening on the Polynesia, but I love her necklace and sandals so Ill find those later. My last dilemma was Japan. I loved her kimono but wished she had sandals and dark hair...even a nice dark brown would have been nice. Not blond. I really like this new screening they used on her, though her lip color needs to be a different color. Maybe later they will do something again like it, so I passed on her.

The next collection was the "classic" collection with them looking back at the dolls before and incorporating it into this line. Retro but modern. Im really actually kinda getting sick of this, but to each its own. I know everyone has their styles and tastes, its just not for me.

I didnt choose any of these girls. Dania - Again the high ponytail with swept tucked in bangs. I already have girls with this hair style...I dont want another. Her makeup was very well done though. Jordon - Actually has some really lovely makeup for her skintone. I liked her necklace so much but again as a whole there wasnt anything that make be need her. Anja - I dont like the hairstyle, I feel she really needed some kinda of stonger lipstick or something. The dress is pretty, but plain and I hate the fringe they used on the bow...it just makes me crazy. Im always afraid I'll unravel stuff like that. Kenenia - Again nothing really drawing me to her. I do utterly love they used a darker color on the inside of her mouth to accent the part of the lips and her teeth. Her hair is pretty but eh, and I really just feel its lacking in something in the outfit...it feels too bulky to me with the shape of the coat/dress. Korinne - I love the blouse...I have one of those skirts and again her makeup was ok, but nothing really drawing me in. I felt a few of them the upper lash they drew was just way way too long for the eye. I can understand where the vibes coming from, but nothing really made me need to bring anyone home from this. I am curious to see whats to come later on.

The only other doll that I did end up preordering was the Event doll. I was a little bit shocked it was another Dania in the same webinar...I kinda wish it was a different one and then like having her at the next one to kinda switch it up. I think thats really my only complaint about it.

I find this funny that after I told myself no more tan girls (I brought so many home and then didnt have characters for them that I had to let them go) Im bring home 2 tan ones...haha! This Dania does remind me alot of the Optic Class Dania. Im not really a fan of pop collars, but this all really works well. I always love some red and black so that's something that can never go wrong. Again theres the rose necklace, but in a different color which I really like alot more. I love the purse and shoes. Everything for her goes so well together. I can wait to have her home and hanging out with my Obsidian Vanessa. Those will be some fierce ladies XD

Tattooing & stuff...

So I stated that Hannibal would need his tattoo done. I sat down and ended up getting it done last night which made me happy because ive been wanting to do this for a week or two now. So yay! Hes done. I still have to give him a couple coats of MSC to kill the shine from the gloss, but overly it turned out rather well. I stuck with the black but in "reality" its more a birthmark then it is a tattoo.

My new boy Sippy - OMG hes not all black >_> but thats alright I wouldnt love him any less. Hes really doing rather well with the others. I think Harlow was tempted to lick him last night when they were in my lap, and he touched her a little with his feet, and she didnt seem to bother...so I think the others are coming around. Just needs time.

I love these two girls so much. I think the Edens hair is a kinda dark brown and its really soft and well done. I even got her dress with her that I didnt realize was coming so that made me happy. Kesenia is just beautiful. Her one shoe keeps falling off, and her purse is weird. It opens and when you let it go, it snaps shut I guess with magnets maybe? I kinda really feel it needs a chain...i might add one later.

2012 Tropicalia Fashion Paradise Convention

So this weekend has come and gone. I got to spend time with tabby, we ended up going to the ren faire like we always do. This time I didnt actually buy anything but thats alright. I like going and looking at everything. 

This was the first convention I got to get involved with as far as I had gotten on PetraElise's list and she was helping me get dolls that I wanted from this years collection. I have to say shes a wonderful person to deal with and I pretty much lucked out on getting everything I wanted.

First off, I am superglad I have put a curb on my collection of tan girls right now. I had said I needed to give the girls I have now shells before I would bring anyone else back home. So a vast majority of these girls ended up being tan -WOO!- that saves my pocket.

So as you all know once i heard there was a new body I wanted to grab one, so I managed to get the platinum blonde girl which I think is C. They are all by letters for who they are. I got the Color Experiment 2 clothes pictured there on the left, and then after seeing there was a blond boy, I picked him up from someone selling him at a good price. So I am happy with these. The only thing is i thought i picked the more tamer of the outfits, but its a halter and shorts under a sheer dress. Everything was so bright and the colors....oh the colors XD
