Tuesday: adding to my shop

A couple days ago I had someone ask me if I could sell my patterns. I was really unsure about this because I really have never written a pattern in my life and I currently only have about 3 people that knit that I could have proof what I was writing.  Plus Im not very good at explaining without showing. So I decided well....lets give it a try. It took some time and a lot of edits (all helpful :3) but now I have added a pattern section to my etsy. For now since I didn't want to be overwhelmed Im just sticking with my one pattern, the turtleneck. If this turns out useful and such then I will look into writing my other patterns as I go.

A new year - some reflection

Happy new year! I cant believe its 2016 already. I know I have kinda of ended up slipping some these past few months. I was busy making holiday sweaters that were in my shop and then with the holidays I was trying to think about how I wanted to focus this blog more and how I want to make it work better with what my interests.

I keep wondering if my blog is just all over the place, or should i just do better on scheduling myself which I know I have talked to Heather about a lot. My main focuses are (in I feel this order) Dollfie Dreams, Fashion Royalty (and 1/6ths), knitting and painting. I also started collecting some figures and I do have my artwork I work on as well. But I guess again that is the question. Do I just break things down into the week (as well as separate tabs above) to help show off those hobbies or make different blogs. Do you like where its more just pictures or do you want me to do more of a review or opinion. Do people want to know Integrity releases as I get them or are there enough blogs like that and I just dont need to add one more thing. I know I am not the best about making things clear sometimes but I can just try to do my best.

Im also trying to think about some kind of easier name to call this blog. Its always been work in progress which I guess does suit it in a way but I just am not sure if I want to keep it like that. Ill try to do some voting and just see if people are interested in my blog or just not worry so much about it. Im just trying to think about what would make this grow better since its a new year.

Etsy: Dollfie Dream Sweaters

I have finished up the 5 sweaters I wanted to make this month. I dont know bust wise what size they will fit thought as I only have a small bust right now. They do have room in them though (ill measure it to see). These are long sleeve sweaters with a patter on the front and they come in lavender, blue, white, yellow and pink. Im still thinking some on a price. Ill be adding them to my etsy shop maybe tonight/tomorrow.

Knitty & Purrrl: February Pattern...

I am currently finishing up the pattern I was doing for February. I have them all finished I just have to add a button to the collar and hide all the strings :3 I decided to make halter tops this month so look for them soon in my etsy shop. It might be tonight/tomorrow. Ill post about it.

I made two sizes. The larger ones fit the FR Tall body, the FR2 body, the new Nuface body. The smaller ones fit the Azones, Momokos and Unoas.  I just have to check about the Poppy, Old Nuface and Dynamite bodys.

Back in the Swing of it...

Well I guess taking a break was longer then I planned. I havent been having the brusing issue anymore with my thumb, but then Tabby moved and with work and that I just started to realize I hadnt made anything for June. I was going to make just 5 little bathing sets, but then it turned into ten XD.

So thats the new pattern that Ill have listed at the end of this month, a couple will fit the slimmer dolls like Azone and Unoa, the other size fits all of the FR's & barbie.

Update: Whats been going on...

 Lots of stuff has been going on, which has thrown my schedule all off this month. I had been working on making myself a blanket, since I never have. I call it Dragon Scales because of how the squares are going to lay together. So Im working on that. Its also getting to be warmer, so I might at least get as many squares done but put it away so I can have it for later in the year.

My poor kitty Jack has always kinda had bladder problems. I had to take him in again and talked with the vet who told me they wanted me to feed him wet Royal Canin. I took a case home and for three days tried to get him to eat it. I put him alone in the bathroom, put water in it like i do but he wouldnt touch it. I tried to put cat nip in it as well but when I went back in there he had gotten in the sink where the nip was and it was all over the bathroom. Salem ran in and instantly started eating the food. So they let me bring it back and told me there was large bag of dry food they could sell me for $60. I really was upset about this because I wanted to change their food (this is a prescription kind) especially since I have 3 boys. My work has stopped selling Royal Canin, but I ended up being able to buy about six months worth of food for my kitties.

In my Dollfie Dream news, I totally ended up missing out on the lottery for Ranko which always seems to be my luck. I really had been watching everything but still ended up missing it. I know too there was no guarantee I was going to win her, but it was more the thought of not having a chance. I was upset because I figured I was going to have to spend alot of money to get her. I checked a few sites, and ended up finding a nude girl on Rinkya. It was a perfect price, I didnt want the white outfit and I can just find her grey wig and black outfit later. So Im just waiting for her to arrive at the warehouse to be sent to me! :3

I did get Niima's Head & Default eyes. I really love her face/shape so much. I think this girl will be my Mori style girl. Right now she and Saber are sharing a body until I get her one of her own.

March's Collection - Cable Wrap

I had wanted to get these up a little sooner, but here we go. I have listed these on my etsy shop. I have 2 for Dollfie Dreams, I just need to take some pictures outside with them. I really liked how these came out. Theres 4 of them that are made to fit the slimmer dolls. I was going to sew the back up, but I decided that I liked them how they were. You just slide it on, twist and slip over the head.

Weekly Update: Knitting projects

Here is whats going to be coming for March's pattern, its a cute little cable wrap. I am trying to get as many as I can done this month, since I feel short because I couldnt decide what I wanted to make. But I finally stuck with a design I like.

Sockings might be Aprils design.

WIP: Knitting...

So Deb at BlinkydollsBoutique and I had been talking and she really loved my knitting and wanted to know if I could make her a sweater for her Poppy. I might tweek this pattern a little. I like the joining of the top shoulder so theres no seem, but havent decided if I like how I made it all one piece, or if i want to sew up the sides, so Im making another test sweater as well for one of my CI girls. Im really happy how it turned out and just happened to pick a color that was perfect for Deb's girl :3 I just need to make this a belt :3

WIP: Knitting & more...

Just been really busy with working on things. 

Rerooting my Raili (shes gonna get her eyes redone colorwise) - I got most of it done but I had to order some more hair. She needs a bang line/part line still and I ran out. So far I am really loving this color on her. Next on my list is my poor Future Bound Luchia.

I am also in love with my little Koron & all the 1/12 scale girls. I have Chiika & Lein coming. I just need Aika. I think its because in these little guys they put actual ball joints. Even in the updated larger neemo bodies they didnt do this. I would have loved them a million times over if they had.

Im going to work on making a sweater in each of the colors I have and when I get others of those as well so that you can see how it looks when its finished color wise. This one is Rhinestone Pink (Hot Pink). I added a inch to the arms to make it cover the hand joint more.

Arrival: DDS Mariko (SWS) ...

I ended up having a little break this week since I got everything done ahead of schedule for me at least so I was able to be home when this girl arrived. Meet Mariko (Student Version).

Seriously I love this girl so much, even my grama was complimenting how cute she is (she loved Nanami too). Her wig/eyes are the defaults. Its really all Heathers fault XD every time she brought over her Mariko and was trying different wigs on her and such I just fell more and more in love with her. I really am thankful they re-released her. She is in the semi white skin color which I really do love and my Lucy is the same skin color as her, Nanami and Saber are normal skin.

I dont like her student outfit. I never really have been big into the schoolgirl look to the Dollfie Dreams, so I decided Im just going to sell that. I wasnt sure about keeping her bag or not through. I think Im just going to let it go with that as well.

Shes modeling a sweater I made for her (I need to make the body a little longer as I just like that style myself) but this was kinda a test sweater, but I love that yarn alot so Ill probably grab another ball of it. Ill probably make another one to test on Heathers Mariko since she has the larger bust to see how much thats going to make the sweater pull up XD and how much room I need to give it in the bust hahaha. I put the Moe (ver 2) outfit on her and she looks so cute in it.

So now I have Mariko, Saber, Lucy and Nanami. I have the Azone Utena in December, but she is kinda in a league of her own.

WIP: Knitting...

Well its that time of year again where I have the Fall Blitz catalog to create, so I am going to be swamped again for a couple weeks ;___; first they were going to do it, then decided not to and gave me a flyer plan, then came back to it, and was going to make a catalog for those at the Backer show, and then turned around and decided to make the Fall Blitz again >_> seriously...

Anyways I seem to be in a knitting mood right now. I just have been working on a few things, trying some new patterns and such.

Two new patterns - I need to block these

Chunky Braid Scarf. This fits a FR & FR16. Its different then the Rapunzel pattern where you actually braid it, this is a cable pattern to mimic a braid. I like the look of them both.

Also here is a few pictures. I added these to my etsy as I am trying to take better pictures of the things I make for it, but I know I need to get some better bulbs for my lights.

 

Organizing: Yarn...

When it comes to my yarn & storage of that said yarn. Its become quite a dilemma. I kept looking at pintrest and googled around a lot but I just didnt like the look of things or I was like well I like this, but I dont have a space to do it in. The other problem I had was my closet in that room had a weird nitch and you cant put anything flush against the wall in that corner.

So I decided finally to give this shoe rack that had been a home for my purses a try. I did end up liking how it looked, but I didnt like that the way it attched to the bar was with a velcro strap, so I worried about how much I could put in it without it falling off.

So! Low and behold I find these guys. I love it has a "heavy duty" handers on each end and you can add little shelves basically (these have to be purchased seperately) but i might not worry about it. Although I could use them to store other things like all the knitting needles and blocking tools if I get those. So they might come in handy later on.

I was more worried one of my cats would decide this was a cat house. But they have left it alone. I also had dreams i would wake up and they had pulled the yarn out of the bottom and had it all over the house hahahahah!

Overall I think this is going to work out perfectly for my yarn. Im going to need one more I think. plus this just makes me realize how much purple and pink yarn I have XD because its going to have to take up an extra cubby.
